After a few noteworthy years (which included stints at Def Jam Recordings and Universal Music Group), Cory took another step forward in his already blossoming entertainment career. In 2012 he joined the Promotions and Programming Departments of the world-renowned radio station 97.1 WQHT, better known as “Hot 97”. He grasped that one of the building blocks to success is constantly growing your brand. With that in mind, in the summer of 2018, Cory advanced at Hot 97 by joining their “All Mix Weekend” family. In the same year, he DJ’ed at the NYC staple Irving Plaza. Through Cory’s hard work, dedication, and talent, he graduated from Scratch DJ Academy in September of that same year.

Shortly after, in December of 2018, Cory earned his very own radio show on Dash Radio’s Dash Mixtape channel called “The Corner.” He not only DJ’s, but serves as an on-air personality with co-host Hala Maroc. “The Corner” can now be heard weekly on Dash Radio’s Taste Radio Channel. His efforts earned him his first Mixshow on Dash Radio’s Flagship Hip Hop Channel Dash Hip Hop X.

In June 2019, Cory DJ’ed for industry titan Sway on his Sirius XM Shade 45 Morning Show “Sway’s Universe.” After his set, Sway can be heard on-air saying to Cory, “You’re a walking manifestation of a party”- what a compliment! In the same season, Cory opened up for Celebrity DJ Clinton Sparks at the CT Famous Shrine Nightclub as a part of their “Get Familiar Fridays.”

2020 proved to be an eventful one for Cory despite the unprecedented state we found the world in. In April, he created a Radio Channel called “Corner Radio” in partnership with the social radio app, Stationhead. Additionally, in June of that year, Cory became an authenticated creator on the music streaming and audio distribution platform, Audiomack. Cory had gathered over 100K streams in one year on the Platform (between his “Corner” branded mixtapes, playlists, and his DJ Mixes.) Not to mention, he became a member of Def Jam’s Summer Friday’s Class of 2020 (which includes legendary DJs such as DJ Enuff and DJ Semtex).

To date, this second-generation DJ has also become a content writer for DJ Record Pool BPM Supreme. His talents and professionalism have led him to spin for major brands such as Louis Vuitton, TAO, Samsung, American Express, and the NCAA. Adding to his impressive resume, Cory has DJ’ed for celebrities: Jack Harlow, John Legend, Quavo (Migos), Luke Combs, Celebrity Radio Host Nessa of Hot 97, and Celebrity make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury, to name a few.

In July of 2021, Cory became the Official DJ for the WNBA’s Connecticut Sun. With Cory on the set, the team had a league-best 15-1 record at home and a Finals appearance the next year. Last October, Cory was added to the World Famous Shadyville DJs crew, founded by celebrity DJ Whoo Kid. Mr. Giles is destined to be a great DJ, all from his love of DJ’ing, dedication to the art, and achieved accolades.
